The Frequency of Self-Love: An Author’s Note

A Love Story With Myself

For the woman learning to become her own safe place—and remembering that coming home to herself is a love story too.

I wrote The Frequency of Self-Love for the woman who is learning to become her own safe place.

Not because she has everything figured out. Not because she never hurts, doubts herself, grieves, gets tired, or loses her way. But because somewhere along the journey, she realizes that returning to herself has to become part of the way she lives.

This book grew from that realization.

It is about self-love beyond affirmations and pretty words. It is about noticing the way you speak to yourself, the things you tolerate, the pieces of yourself you have neglected, and the quiet ways healing begins to change how you move through the world.

Becoming does not always happen loudly

I wanted this book to feel intimate—like sitting with someone who understands that becoming does not always happen loudly.

Sometimes it happens in boundaries. In rest. In honesty. In choosing differently. In finally giving yourself some of the tenderness you have spent years giving everyone else.

I love who I am becoming, but I had to fight to meet her.

If you have ever looked at your life and felt those words, this book was written with you in mind.

My hope is that somewhere in these pages, you recognize yourself—and remember that coming home to yourself is a love story too.
